This year’s Open House London I went to London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.

LAMDA moved from Tower House to here in 2003, so technically it’s not where Richard and Benedict have been studied in, but still I found something related to them. (The first on was The Normal Heart from 1998.)

Besides the photos we have seen before, I found a photo of stage of The Crucible in 1998.

Richard said he has been in The Crucible when he was at school, but I am not sure if he was in this one.

The photo seems like Act III, so we won’t see him in this photo anyway as he was only in Act IV.

The third photo was taken in John Wood Studio in which students are doing fight demo.

No further editing, no reposting, please.

If anyone in the UK can’t wait a bit longer to see Ben as Turing on November… Your prayers have just been answered!

Yesterday, I got sent a DM by the very lovely mdarbycharles (hope it’s okay posting this!) on Twitter about a PREVIEW SCREENING of The Imitation Game on MONDAY NOVEMBER 10th at 6:30pm in SELECTED ODEON CINEMAS. She very kindly sent me the link to this website
-> http://showfilmfirst.com and it takes you to a page where you can book tickets. The code to use is “982360” and you will have to register/login.

Now, tickets for this screening are FREE and it is in partnership with Elle (give us the damn cover already!!) and there will be a handful of cinemas around the UK screening the film 4 days early on the above date.

After you’ve selected/booked your tickets, you should receive an email confirming it. (Check spam/junk if you can’t find it - mark as safe!) Print your ticket out as I know some cinemas I go to have an awful time with digital ones.

Don’t think there’s anything else to explain… I’m sure Elle (and Ben too, duh!) would want the cinemas full of Cumbercollective people!!

Of course, you’ll be wanting to see TIG again if you go on NOVEMBER 14!!

FYI

Most Memorable Elevator Ride:
What’s better than nine minutes in a room with Benedict Cumberbatch talking London, movies, exhaustion and Alan Turing? How about continuing that conversation in the hotel’s elevator for another few?
While I had the pleasure of being just one of the many journalists scheduled to speak to the star about his upcoming film The Imitation Game, I also happened to be the final interview after a long day’s junketing. Though clearly worn out from travel and from talking, the actor couldn’t have been kinder or more effusive in his passion for Turing’s life and legacy even going so far as adding a few minutes to the interview so we could continue.
Once the cameras stopped rolling, we continued talking about a fabulous Turing exhibition we’d both seen in London last year, before he moved on to apologize for the “positively arctic” temperature of the room (the only thing keeping him awake). I hadn’t even noticed. Then on with his jacket and hat, he practically sprinted to the elevators in a bid to get back to his hotel for some much needed R&R (he didn’t even wait for his publicist), stopping only to say hello to Keira Knightley’s other half and wish her well for the rest of the day.
Realizing we were headed the same way he was and weren’t moving as quickly (damn heels), he held the elevator for us – giving his publicist time to catch up too, poor woman and giving us a few more minutes with one of the nicest guys in the biz. Our only regret? We only had 3 floors to go.
